Miu Miu often selects actresses to front its seasonal campaigns, with past models including Hailee Steinfeld, Kirsten Dunst, Katie Holmes and most recently Mia Wasikowska.
Sevigny's return to the label -- which is a sister line to Prada -- echoes a recent move among designers to cast familiar faces in their campaigns. Earlier this year German supermodel Claudia Schiffer revisited her iconic 1989 black and white ads for Guess by shooting a series of similar shots in honor of the brand's 30th anniversary.
In the new behind the scenes video for the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2012 ad campaign, Sevigny can be seen sporting an androgynous look as she sips tea, eats cake and lounges on a fluffy white carpet.
A behind the scenes video of Chloë Sevigny's Fall/Winter 2012 ad campaign has been revealed, with the star showcasing the label's 70s-inspired collection to the sounds of "When I'm Small" by Phantogram.
After 16 years away, actress Sevigny was announced as Miu Miu's latest campaign star earlier this month, returning to the luxury label to front its Fall/Winter 2012 ads.
While the style icon was captured by Juergen Teller for the Spring/Summer 1996 campaign she starred in, this time fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were behind the lens.

Attention:It's Official! Mariah Carey Is the New 'American Idol' Judge
“I am so excited to be joining Idol,” Carey said in a phone call to Fox head honcho Kevin Reilly after he shared the news. “I wanted to be there today and I wish I could have been there myself to tell you. I can’t wait to get started in a couple months.”
The media speculation surrounding Carey joining Idol had intensified over the weekend as numerous reports claimed that the singer was thisclose to inking the deal. There's no word on how much she will be paid for her first season, but Jennifer Lopez nabbed an impressive $12 million payday when she joined Idol, so Carey's salary is likely in the same ballpark.
Mariah Carey previously served as a guest mentor during Idol's seventh season, and was supposed to act as an advisor to Simon Cowell on Season 1 of The X Factor (Hurricane Irene prevented her from making the trip to Cowell's mansion in France).
Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler both announced their departures from Idol earlier this month. The fate of longtime judge Randy Jackson is also in question, although the addition of Carey could secure his spot on the panel (Jackson manages the pop star). As for the third spot, sources are reporting that Idol alum Adam Lambert is still very much in the running.
What do you think of Carey's addition to the American Idol family? She's certainly got the vocal chops and the star power to give accurate critiques, and we're guessing the pop starlet won't be overly concerned with protecting the contestants' fragile egos. At the very least, Carey's presence will deter wannabe divas from mangling her hits during the auditions. Or maybe not...
Mariah Carey will always be our baby — and now she's also going to be an American Idol judge!
Fox announced at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour that the pop star has officially signed on to judge the show's upcoming 12th season.

Wow, Lil Wayne's 'My Homies Still' Music Video Contains Creepy Movie Theater Imagery
The scene would likely have been cut out of the final piece had it not been released on July 17, three days before the Batman massacre in Aurora, Colorado. Naturally, fans have commented on the insane timing on YouTube. Sample reactions include:
mind control. "go stupid" there is no way James Holmes got SWAT gear and explosives all on his own. He wasn't alone on this.
The Colorado shooting was setup by the Government so they can take our right to bear arms! Don't let them take our guns! Wake up people and STOP THE NEW WORLD ORDER!!!!
The skeletons in the theater represents the colorado shooting in the theater because why would there be skeletons? Its obvious this song is just a way to insult to people that died. I MEAN think about it a girl dressed like Batman in the theater it fucking obvious! I DONT CARE IF YALL SAY THIS SONG WAS MADE BEFORE THE SHOOTING THESE ILLUMANATI PUPPETS PROBABLY KNEW THIS WAS GONNA HAPPEN. THEY WANT U TO BELIEVE THAT THIS IS NOT BASED ON THE SHOOTING BUT IT IS. I RECOMMEND U DONT BUY HIS ALBUM!
Oh boy.
Wayne hasn't commented on the crazy coincidence.
The creepiest coincidence of the week comes courtesy of rapper Lil Wayne, who happened to release a music video featuring skeletons in a movie theater just a few days before the tragic killing of 12 people during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises.
There's a lot of bizarre imagery in the rapper's new music video for "My Homies Still," including fuchsia elephants, a dog-man walking a man-dog on a leash, both Lil Wayne's and Big Sean's heads on platters, and a lady macking on a mannequin. But the scenes sure to stick with people come near the end of the video, when Wayne and Sean rap before a theater of skeletons and giggling children.

Yes,Robert Pattinson's Musical Secret to Wooing Kristen Stewart
"Love (and Werewolves) Will Tear Us Apart"
"Bite Me Maybe"
"Twilight: Eclipse of the Heart"
"Under My Um-Bella"
"Cullen Me Softly"
"I Wish I Was Your Lower Lip"
"New Moon Rising"
"Money Can't Buy Me Blood"
"In This Sparkly Skin"
Apparently, it takes more than a jawline carved out of stone, I-don't-give-a-damn hair, and a British accent to win Kristen Stewart over. In a new interview with BlackBook magazine, Robert Pattinson and his heart open up about the early days of falling for his Twilight co-star (kind of).
The article, written from the point of view of Pattinson's heart, weaves actual quotes from the actor with the author's own informed conclusions that are framed as coming from Rob's emotional core. It makes for an intriguing read, but one that's confusing when taken out of context.
The series of half truths leaves room for interpretation, like this bit: "Rob would shun madly batting eyelashes to smoke outside with a hoodie pulled over his eyes. He was writing songs for Kristen Stewart. At the time, I [Rob's heart] was filled with yearning to the point of breakage, so they were sad songs that sounded as if they could have been lifted off a Van Morrison’s Astral Weeks." But these aren't just willy-nilly flights of imagination because Pattinson himself confirms the lovestruck ballad penning, telling BlackBook, "In fact, I was just trying to rip off Van Morrison."
The larger point being that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart share a romantic history that, to some extent at least, involves personalized songwriting, songwriting that may or may not have won him Kristin's heart and inspired his songs that made it on the Twilight soundtracks. Given Pattinson's musical method of courting and the fact that he's already said "music is [his] backup plan if acting fails, here are some potential Pattinson hit singles, dedicated, of course, to his lady love.

Italian luxury label Valentino has been sold to the royal family of Qatar for an estimated $858 million
"Valentino has always been a brand of unique creativity and undisputed prestige," said a Mayhoola spokesperson in a release.
"Our vision is to back management for the long term to exploit the full potential of this exciting brand. We believe Valentino is ideally suited to form the basis for a global luxury goods powerhouse."
Meanwhile, Valentino chief executive officer Stefano Sassi added the new investors will help the brand "reach its full potential."
As well as acquiring Valentino, the Qatar group also reportedly picked up the M Missoni license, while the Qatar Luxury Group, owned by the Qatar Foundation, acquired French leather goods company Le Tanneur last year.
Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned, the glamorous wife of Qatar's Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, was behind the creation of the Qatar Luxury Group in 2008, and is considered to be one of the world's biggest couture collectors.
Rumors had been swirling around for days, but on July 12 it was confirmed that Italian luxury label Valentino has been sold to the royal family of Qatar for an estimated $858 million.
Mayhoola, an investment group controlled by Qatar's royal family, explained its vision for the fashion house -- which was founded in 1959 by namesake Valentino Garavani and is famed for its ultra feminine frocks.

now Rihanna is set to conquer the high street by teaming up with UK store River Island
Rihanna, meanwhile, is known for her edgy red carpet looks and daring on-stage attire.
"I've been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me," said the singer in a release.
"I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I'm looking forward to working with them and creating something really special."
Like other UK high street retailers such as Topshop and Miss Selfridge, River Island -- which ships internationally -- is known for its affordable, catwalk-inspired statement pieces which are strong on embellishments and prints.
"I've always loved fashion. Fashion has shaped me into the artist I am today," she recently explained in a video to promote her upcoming UK television show Styled To Rock.
Set to premiere this August on UK screens, the reality show tracks unknown designers as they compete for the chance to dress her at London's Wireless music festival.
She has already teamed up with Italian luxury label Armani for a limited edition line of clothing and lingerie, and now Rihanna is set to conquer the high street by teaming up with UK store River Island.
While details are currently scarce, the songstress announced July 16 that her capsule collection will launch at the high street retailer for Spring 2013.

Valentino SOLD for $858 Million U.S.D.!!!
“After four intense years, a new phase opens up and we are offered a chance to push forward with additional resources,” he says.
A Spokesman from the investment company Mayhoola said “Valentino has always been a brand of unique creativity and undisputed prestige.”
The investment company is run from the Investment house Qatar which has its hands in many pockets including LLC, all of Harrods (bought for $2.20 billion in 2010), a 1.03% owndership in LVMH Moet Hennessy Lois Vuitton, 5.2% share in Tiffany & Co., 26% of the British supermarket J. Sainsbury (acquired in 2010), and has recently become the largest share holder in the French Media group Lagardére SCA with a whopping %12.7 percent stake.
The deputy chairman of Milan consultancy InterCorporate says that their company “recognizes the management’s work over the past few years, and it’s an injection of support and confidence in Sassi and the designers. These are investors a company such as Valentino deserved. They behave splendidly, and having seen their work with Harrods, it makes me think of this deal in a very positive way. If only there were more of these investors….There is an entrepreneurial strategy and they know the luxury sector.”
The brand has been sold to the Middle East to continue thriving, changing, and developing their market strategies.
Yes… you read this title correctly! The fashion powerhouse Valentino has been sold to Mayhoola for 700 million Euros, a.k.a. $858 million United States Dollars! The company Mayhoola is an investment vehicle that is backed from a group of private investors in the Middle Eastern Monarchy… it is common knowledge that Mayhoola is lead by the royal family of Qatar who just got a whole new wardrobe.
With this deal Mayhoola will now be the owner of 100% of Valentino SpA along side with the Missoni License business, while the MCS Marlboro Classics (from VFG) will stay under the rule of Red & Black (R&B also own the majority share in Hugo Boss out side of this transaction).
After the deal had occurred Valentino’s chief executive officer Stefano Sassi said that the investors had a high “level of ambition and strong desire to further develop the label. They took control not only of the brand, but also of the projects behind it.”
Despite the ownership changing Sassi will remain highly involved in the companies’ development along side the brands creative directors, Maria Grazi Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Vera Wang opens a new bridal boutique in the Ginza neighborhood in Tokyo, Japan
“The expansion really comes out of Vera and I see so many
international brides in New York, L.A. and London. We said, ‘You know
this is out of control. We have to service them in their own part of the
world,’” said the president of the company (Mario Grauso).
“Every time I come over here, I feel like I end up in a meeting to talk about ‘could Vera do TV’….I don’t think it is going to happen in the near future,” he said.
The exquisite building is a charming 1,355 square foot store that is already booked full for the first month of business. The store follows a series of international openings from the company including London, Moscow, Sydney and Seoul. The store is comprised of graphite concrete floors with charcoal gray walls, all scattered with blackened steel accents. The venue is appointment only and contains over 40 of Wangs finest dresses designed specifically for Asia (where in the traditions the bride will have at least one red dress in the wardrobe).
Mario continued to say that this is only the beginning for the brands international expansion plans, stores in Abu Dhabi, Shanghai, and Hong Kong will be opening soon. “Clearly when you get to Asia, Vera is most known for her bridal,” Grauso said. “So we feel it is safest and easiest for us to lead with bridal.”
While the brand has opened stores inside of the United States including a new one in San Francisco’s Union Square and soon to be Miami, the focus is not inside of the States. Where a United States bride to be will spend about 8,000 – 12,000 (average) on a dress the brand offers more $25,000 dresses that focus on the intricate design and bead work that is more likely better received in an international market.
Expanding the brands international connections, Vera Wang opens a new bridal boutique in the Ginza neighborhood in Tokyo, Japan.
